On the NAMM 2025 the company Flock Audio will present their brand-new PATCH-lv. This is the -World first- computer controlled analog patch bay with built-in Dante interface!
The Dante interface supports 8 inputs and 8 outputs. The analog Patch Bay part has 24 analog inputs and 24 analog outputs. There is no AD/DA conversion in the analog domain. The control for setting patch-points is done with a computer/iPad APP. Making the setup of analog gear chains a breeze. You can also store the hardware patches within the DAW session.
Heaving a Dante interface built into the unit is what makes the PATCH-lv unique. It brings the analog world and the AoIP/Dante world together in one box. It also saves you an external AD/DA converter.
Live Sound users
For the Live Sound world, the PATCH-lv opens doors for using (again) analog gear. But this time in, the most flexible and easiest way possible. The low latency of Dante in combination with the PATCH-lv analog patch-bay will integrate the analog equipment with the digital Live Sound mixing consoles.
Studio owners
For studio owner the PATCH-lv could be very handy. If you already run a Dante network in your building the PATCH-lv will deliver flexibility for adding additional analog hardware located anywhere in your building into the Dante network. Being it stationary or ad-hoc. Saving you on time, cabling and converters.
At this point we don’t know how the Dante converter sounds but it will support till max 192KHz/32 bits which is very promising. We at Dante Support are looking forward to testing this one.
